Cuzco & Inkaruins, Peru

Ella and I got lost in the streets of Cuzco trying to find Prisma Hotel, where we're staying. After about 30 - 45 min of walking around we found it! Every block have their own streetname here, so getting lost is pretty hard .. Ella and I did it anyways. The whole group went out to eat before the long hike started. It was really nice, and I think everyone had a great time. I got sick though (I guess because i was eating pasta) so I went home pretty early..

The next morning we got up super early. On our busride to this small, old, Inkatown we stopped by Sacsayhuaman (sounds like sexy woman when you say it - which it is also known as by tourists, according to lonely planet), Sacred Valley and to this itty bitty place where we learned the difference between lamas and well, this other lama-looking animal (starts with an "A" but can't remember the name of it...hhaha) at the same place we saw how people had been living for thousands of years.. I got this movie with two kids trying to light some fire, and it's super cute!! :)
Then we stopped for lunch at some "eat-as-much-as-you-want" overprized place. Everyone was pretty much full after that (First with the hot food, than the desserts!

The city, or town, we slept in was surrounded by old inkaruins. We walked up to the sunpalace, which was never finished because of the Spanish arrival. This town, I don't remember the name - again (haha), was the mainquarter for the war against the Spanish. Standing there were kinda crazyyy! The history is just .. amazing. And they were so bright and smart back then..

I pretty much fell in love with a bag there for 30 soles (60 kroner), but I didn't buy it! Go me! hehe :) It was really cool though!

In Peru they have "Inka Cola" made my Coca-Cola Company. It tastes like sweet bubblegum (Hubba Bubba) and it's yellow. Cool!

I thought the whole honking thing was big in Costa Rica, but I guess I was wrong. It's even worse down here. First of all.. Our guide told us that the drivers doesn't follow any rules. I doubted it, but after less than 30 min on the bus I relized - she was right.
I'm still trying to understand the meanings of all the different honks, and this is what I've figured out so far:

1 honk get out of my way / I'm passing you! /Thank you!(of course, after someone has moved...
2 honks Heyyy / get out of my way FAST!!
1 loooong honk> get lost! / stupid cow - move!
several honks when arriving a small town/city Here am I! /how are you?.
several honks while wanting to pass some car/bus/trailer MAKE SOME DAMN SPACE FOR ME!!!

There's tons more, but you know. I haven't gotten them all yet!
They even honk at kids over here!! :(

Oh well. Tomorrow we're going to Aguas Calientes, close to Machu Picchu and then Friday morning we're taking the bus up to meet with the others...
Then I gues during this weekend or something we're going to Lima(?) and then the Amazon!!
I miss Costa Rica though & the hot weather!

¡Ciao!
